Quality Framework Principles- LAOS ’22

Over the next few weeks of the very busy Interview season, I plan to examine the ten key principles that underpin the Looking at our School 2022 document. I will go through each principle outlining key aspects and list a range of sample interview questions that will help you prepare for a Teacher Interview.

If you have clear, concrete examples for each principle and interview question, you will feel well prepared for any teacher interview.

My first post will look at the principle of the Holistic Nature of learning and the learner.

Holistic nature of learning and the learner

Key words:

  • a need for pupils to develop a broad range of skills and knowledge, competencies, dispositions and values that enable personal wellbeing, active citizenship and life long learning.
  • Learning experiences should be broad, balanced, challenging and responsive to individual needs.

Sample interview questions for teachers on the holistic nature of learning and the learner:

  2. How do you incorporate the principles of holistic education into your daily teaching practices? Can you provide specific examples?
